Licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner located in Vancouver, WA

About Leahy

Brandon Leahy, LAC

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Brandon Leahy studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. While obtaining his Masters, his focus was on complementary medicine – bridging the gap between Eastern healing modalities and Western allopathic and pharmaceutical treatment therapies.

He has always loved working with other healing practitioners – focused on how his tools can enhance the therapies a patient is already utilizing. Over his 10 years of practicing TCM, Brandon has treated everything from everyday aches and pains, stress/depression/anxiety disorders, postoperative support, to more complex issues like adjudicative cancer therapies and working with HIV/AIDS positive patients.

His passion is in PSE (Psycho/Spiritual/Emotional) disorders, as well as pain management and injury repair. He utilizes an additional technique called the “Master Tung Method” that incorporates special points and methods for quicker results and longer lasting treatments.

In additions to Acupuncture Therapies, Brandon uses Traditional Chinese Herbal Therapies, TCM Dietary Advice, Qi Gong (meditation), and Tui Na (dermal manipulation) as tools to help patients reach their highest health goals.

In his off time, Brandon enjoys being outdoors with his wife and daughter. He is an avid runner and triathlete, having competed in several events around the Northwest. He is also a finisher of the Lake Tahoe Iron Man, and is looking to compete in Ironman Ireland in 2020.

Accepted Insurance

We will check your eligibility and benefits prior to your first appointment. We will also get preauthorization for you if that is required by your plan, however each insurance plan is different and trying to determine exactly what your plan will cover can be tricky. The information provided to us by your insurance carrier is not a guarantee of payment. It is the patient’s responsibility to be informed by their health plan as to their level of coverage. * Using your medical insurance for counseling has some risks involved. In order to use your medical insurance for counseling, you must be given a mental disorder diagnosis and that diagnosis will become a part of your permanent medical record. Having a mental diagnosis on your record may carry long-term implications and may hinder you from being able to obtain life insurance, disability or health insurance in the future. Additionally, filing an insurance claim means your diagnosis, dates of service, etc., are no longer totally confidential, and your insurance company will be aware of your treatment and diagnosis.
