Insurance

    • Please contact us to see if we accept your insurance. Please be aware that each provider with In Touch Counseling Services may be networked with different insurance plans.
    • All we are able to do with insurances is verify that you have insurance, tell you about a copay or about possible deductible.  If you would like more specific information, you can contact your insurance provider directly.
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) sessions are limited by the program to 45 minutes.
    • It is a client’s responsibility to understand the limitations of their mental health insurance benefits. Not all services are covered and clients may have a deductible to reach, prior to receiving coverage for services. Not all diagnoses are covered by every insurance plan. If a client’s insurance provider fails to pay for services rendered, the balance of unpaid session fees becomes the client’s responsibility. We encourage you to check your policy yourself to find out all of the information you need to know about your potential costs.
    • At this time we are not currently contracted with any State and/or Federal insurance programs, such as Apple Health, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.

    • Insurance is not accepted for 80 minute Relationship Therapy appointments.
    • Insurance companies do not pay for traditional couples or family counseling where the relationship is the intended focus or client.

Missed Appointments and/or Cancellations

Our policy is as follows:

Out of respect for our practitioners and other clients, all appointments require 24-hours notice for cancellation. .

    • Cancellations provided with less than 24-hours business hours notice will be subject to a fee.
    • Cancellation calls are taken between 9 AM and 5 PM Monday through Thursday, excluding New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
    • Monday appointments must be canceled before 5 PM on the previous Thursday.

Life happens. We know that sometimes circumstances arise that prevent you from making it to your appointment. To ensure we can respect each other’s time, we have a few guidelines to follow when cancelling or changing appointments.

  • Rather than canceling therapy appointments, consider the option of Telehealth via video or phone, if you are not able to make it into the office, but are able to participate in a session.
  • In the case of emergencies or if you wake up sick for your appointment, we require at least 4 hours’ notice. Appointments that aren’t cancelled within 4 hours will be considered a “no show” and will be charged at full cancellation fee.
  • If you’re feeling unwell and believe you may have a contagious illness, we ask that you stay home. If you’re experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or coughing, please cancel your appointment with at least 4 hours’ notice.

What Are the Cancellation Fees?

If you cancel 24 hours in advance of your appointment, you will not be charged any cancellation fees.

If you cancel between 4-24  hours before your appointment you will be charged a fee of $100 for the appointment; this will not be covered by your insurance company.

If you  are sick or unable to take advantage of the telehealth option and cancel between 4 and 24 hours before your appointment, you may be charged 50% of the  cancellation fee.

Appointments that are cancelled within four hours of the appointment time will be considered a “no show” and will be charged at the full cancellation fee.

We understand that special unavoidable circumstances may cause you to cancel within 4 hours. Fees in this instance may be waived if a written request for this is emailed to better@intouchcounseling.com.

If you cancel (see cancellation policy above) or no-show for two consecutive sessions (one session for appointment times after 2 pm) or stop attending therapy for two weeks without prior arrangement, your reserved appointment time may be released.
